HOCHSCHULE DER KÜNSTE « TEA KITCHEN: WHAT DO YOU CARE ABOUT? »

17.02. – 01.03.2016

ad hoc session and experimental space

What do you care about? The concept of care seems not only to be central in any kind of social relations, but is also a key activator for collaborative and artistic processes. Also curating as we understand it, derives from the notion of care, latin «curare». With artistic and discursive means we want to explore, practice and discuss gestures of care, forms of collectivity and modes of hospitality. «Tea Kitchen» wants to open up an experimental space, that will be animated by its participants and the urgencies, questions, ideas and actions they will bring in.

The «Tea Kitchen» as an ad hoc session and experimental space will allow us to focus on processes and encouters as well as try out formats for «Donate to Curate», a collaborative project that will take place in summer as part of Manifesta 11, Parallel Events.

As we usually have international guests we will all speak our broken english.
